Blood Glucose Monitoring
Blood Glucose Monitoring A way of testing the blood to determine its sugar content. Usually the blood is drawn from the fingertip, is then placed at the end of a specially coated strip, or testing strip. This strip has a chemical that when mixed with blood it helps one to determine how high or low the blood glucose level is. A person can monitor this by first comparing the color on the end of the strip to a color chart printed on the side of the strip container or by inserting the strip into a meter which reads the strip and digitally gives the result of the blood glucose level.
